This is a starting point for those with a completed manuscript that aren’t ready for a full Developmental edit. A detailed manuscript review involves overall feedback on plot, character, pacing, etc. but it also includes a chapter-by-chapter evaluation and a follow up call to discuss the feedback. It does not include comments with track changes on the manuscript itself.

Developmental Editing
Is your manuscript complete and ready for a detailed critique? Or have you completed a great story, but know something still isn’t quite right? Development editing can put the final shine on your story and stop you from beating your head on your desk.
This service provides an in-depth critique of completed manuscripts, focusing on story structure, characterization, pacing, and voice.
The editor will make comments on the manuscript and compile a summary letter offering specific feedback and suggestions. A voice call or video chat is also included to allow for questions and clarification.
*This is not a beta read. Ideally, you should implement feedback from your beta readers to receive the most benefit from a developmental edit. This is also not a line-edit or proofread. Please see this page for more information about those services.
